Task research: Research into pop-up design




This short pop-up advert appears before the programme "The Big Bang Theory" as a sponsor. The pop-up keeps the name of the show and the name of the service visible on screen through out the video in the bottom corner whilst the actors are discussing the services functions.

The ad focuses on appealing to its audience of groups of young people. The actors used in the advert follow the stereotypical description of its audience through the way they are dressed in casual clothing such as tracksuits and are seen playing video games and watching TV.

The advert portrays the basic target of a pop-up ad as they introduce the service/product and try to appeal to their target audience by having its actors portray themselves as that audience.

After the actors finish conversing the screen cuts to show a different scene in another setting from an above shot. The logo, name and the services mobile home page slides into the middle of the screen to finally inform the audience about the products availability.
